    Shure Pets Pet Gazette
    Volume III Edition I
    January 2005

Dear Pet Lover~ I would like to take this opportunity to encourage you to personally support one of the organizations providing relief to Tsunami victims in South Asia. This is one of the greatest tragedies our world has faced, and I, personally feel it is important to make a donation to aid the victims. I hope you will consider contacting one of the many organizations that are providing relief efforts, such as the American Red Cross, AmeriCares, Care USA, Doctors without Borders, or US Fund for UNICEF, among others. Personally, I will be making a contribution of my own and encourage you to do the same. It doesn't matter the amount, do what you are able to do, for every little bit helps.

Even though this international disaster has dampened the holiday season for so many, I do want to reflect on Shure Pets' accomplishments and share our goals for 2005. We hope to continue growing at an exciting pace, offer new and interesting products to the Shure Pets product line, add incentives to help motivate you to do your job, and host our first annual Shure Pets Conference here in Chicago. This is the time of year for reflecting and evaluating the year that ended and it is an opportunity to learn from what we did and did not do, make a plan and move forward. We encourage you to do the same.

Shure Pets ended the year on a high note with a national news segment that aired on the Fox News Channel on December 30, featuring a Los Angeles- based Pet Party, and Pet Consultant, Paula G. (#0241 Encino, CA). The segment followed a front- page story that ran in the Los Angeles Daily News on November 18, which also featured Paula. Thank you, Paula, for all your hard work on both these public relations efforts. We received a great deal of interest from potential Pet Consultants who learned about Shure Pets through these two efforts. Other media coverage that Shure Pets received in 2004 includes articles in USA Weekend, The Wall Street Journal, The El Paso Times (El Paso, TX), The Daily Southtown (Chicago, IL), and The Free Lance Star (Fredericksburg, VA). To read these articles, be sure to visit the Shure Pets Web site and click on Pet News.

2004 was truly a spectacular year. We grew from 32 Pet Consultants to nearly 350, and revenue increased 1,000%. The feedback you provide is always considered and has been used to establish both a new compensation plan and weekly conference calls for Pet Consultants. Thank you again for your support and business in 2004. We wish you much success in 2005.

As always, if you would like more in-fur-mation on Shure Pets, hosting or attending a Pet Party or purchasing Shure Pets Products, please contact us at info@shurepets.com or call toll free at 1-888- SHURE-PETS (1-888-748-7373). I look forward to helping you start the new year on the right paw and hearing from you soon!

Thank you from the bottom of our paws,

    Andrew Shure, Shure Pets, Founder

Shure Pets on Fox News Channel

Featured Pet Consultant: Sharen S. (#0048)

Sharen has been with Shure Pets since February 2004. She discovered the Shure Pets website one day in September 2003 and liked what she saw and knew she wanted to become a Pet Consultant, but, the timing was not right. From that time on, Sharen simply could not get Shure Pets out of her mind and visited the website regularly. Says Sharen, "One day in February I picked up the phone and called Shure Pets and spoke with Shure Pets founder, Andrew Shure. I was really impressed that he would personally take the time to answer all my questions and get me signed-up."

Sharen lives in Fortville, Indiana, about twenty miles east of Indianapolis. She is married to Ken and has four married children and six grandchildren. Her pet family includes: Holly-Pup (a three-year-old Golden Retriever/Cocker Spaniel mix), Maxi-Brew (three-year- old English Springer Spaniel), Bubbles (six-year-old fantail goldfish), and AJ (newly acquired parakeet).

Before retiring in 2003, Sharen worked in the health care field for more than twenty years. She also worked in retail. After retiring, she realized she needed something to do. She enrolled her dogs in a weekly training program with the goal of getting one of them certified as a Canine Good Citizen. Holly-Pup and Sharen were able to accomplish this goal and now participate in a local hospital visitation program. She also volunteers for GRRACE, a Golden Retriever rescue group.

Sharen states, "since signing up with Shure Pets I am fulfilling my life-long dream of working with animals and other pet owners. I believe pets bring out the best in most people. I have had Pet Parties, open houses and booths at several pet events. I have the most fun at pet events because I can talk about Shure Pets to a lot of people. My group of new Pet Consultants continues to grow and we are all very close and learning from each other. My goal is to reach "Top-Dog" status. This is a wonder-fur, ground floor opportunity that will continue to get better and better. Since I signed up, I have seen the company triple in size. As to my success with Shure Pets, I know that God opened all the doors for me to do this and I give him all the thanks. With the best products, great staff, and dedicated Pet Consultants, you just can't go wrong."

The trendy bag is approximately 11.5" high by 19" wide (exterior) and 16" long by 7.5" wide (interior). The handles are 11" long. These quilted bags are vinyl-lined with a netted top, double zipper and velcro closure. Dog Bag is #730D and Cat Bag is #730C.

    Tips for Purr-fect Pet Health

Dogs Many families get new puppies during the holiday season. Please keep children safe around dogs by teaching them to avoid startling a sleeping dog, trying to take away a dog's toy, or bothering a dog while it's eating. Be sure to teach your children to respect their canine friends by not tugging on a dog's ears or tail, sticking fingers in the dog's mouth, or treating them like toys. Remind kids to be very careful around strange dogs. If your dog is diagnosed with ear mites or an ear infection it is very important to complete the treatment. Even if your dog appears recovered, continue the medication until it is finished. Discontinuing medication before completing treatment contributes to the creation of resistant infections. This increases the possibility that the infection will recur and may require stronger medications given for a longer duration. Shure Pets Ear Cleaner (#103) is a grr-eat product to help with ear odors and to treat inflammation due to ear mite infestation.

Cats Are you looking to own a companion cat? If so, first you should consider searching through popular cat magazines, conducting online research, or attending cat shows in your area to become familiar with cat breeds that interest you. Remember that if you do select Fluffy from a breeder, you might want to talk to a regional or national breed club. The club should be able to give you a referral to a respected breeder in your area. Cat shows and expos are a great place to see examples of particular pedigrees, including some not commonly seen. It is also a good place for meeting qualified breeders, who may have the kitty you desire.

Birds Never buy a bird solely because you want it to talk. Some birds develop wonderful vocabularies while others may learn only to say their names. A bird from a species with the reputation for being great talkers may never say anything! Be prepared to love your bird for who she is, whether she speaks or not.
