The Premier Direct Seller of Pet Products
    Volume IV, January 2006

    Dear Pet Lover~

It is with great pride that I share with each of you our accomplishments and results from the past year. Sales increased by over 250% from the prior year while the number of Pet Consultants who joined the Shure Pets team increased by 150% over 2004.

I attribute these increases to a number of factors including: 1) We have worked like a dog to increase the awareness of Shure Pets, our unique products and At-Home sales approach through a national media outreach program that has included leading outlets (CNN, CNBC, CBS Early Show etc.) as well as local media outlets (The Philadelphia Inquirer, Miami Herald, Kansas City Star, Chicago Tribune etc.). 2) Provide the best products 3) Provide exceptional customer service and satisfaction guaranteed policy 4) Provide strong compensation, incentive and hostess programs to our Pet Consultants and Pet Party hostesses.

As we enter our third calendar year, we look forward to introducing new products and tools to help each of you continue to grow your Shure Pets business. I am most excited with the February launch of our backend software that is available to all of our active Pet Consultants. We believe this software will help you develop, grow and maintain your business (for more information, please see Shure Pets Events Section below).

We are eager and excited to begin the new year with you and look forward to working with you to reach your goals. As always, please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or comments regarding Shure Pets, our innovative business model or unique products.

    Shure Pets In The News

Mary O. Pet Consultant of the Month: Mary O (#0462)

Mary O. (#0462 Lewis Center, OH) and her husband, Tim, are the proud guardians of two sassy rescue cats (Jackie, a six year old short-haired tabby and Rusty, a six year old long-haired calico), a very smart ten year old sheltie (Snickers) and three handsome rescue collies (George, three years old; Bear, two years old and Robbie, two years old). She heard about Shure Pets when searching the Internet for home-based pet businesses. Mary states, "I'm very busy at my day job so it was important for me to find an opportunity which allowed lots of flexibility and the chance to meet and spend time with other crazy pet lovers such as myself. Given that Shure Pets was virtually unknown in the Columbus, Ohio market, the whole concept from the business opportunity to being the only "Pet Party" in town, was very appealing and seemed like a purr- fect fit!"

"I became a Pet Consultant on April 25, 2005 and recruited my first consultant, Amy M. (#0484), that same week! Since then, our Columbus Top Dogs, team has grown to ten Pet Consultants and we are a HUGE supporter of animal rescue efforts (between the ten of us, we are the proud guardians of over 40 fur kids)! Through the successful promotion of our Shure Pets Cares Fundraising Program, we have proudly contributed over $5,000 in financial and in-kind donations to 16 rescue organizations! Our premium products and accessories have been a huge hit in Columbus (everyone LOVES the shampoos and spritzers) and our website - columbustopdogs.com - is now linked to over a dozen other sites including two major dog parks! I see a VERY bright future for me and my team!"

"Shure Pets has given me an opportunity to use the knowledge I have gained from my professional career and create a successful, home based business supporting the tireless efforts of people who are as passionate about rescue work as myself. And the best part? I get to share LOTS of great stories about my boys (aka "The Shaver 4").

"I highly recommend that a new Pet Consultant start early in their career developing working partnerships with local rescue groups and "best of breed" pet businesses. It is the best way to promote the Shure Pets premium products, business opportunities and fundraising programs to the largest percentage of pet lovers in their community. Most importantly, ALWAYS try and bring a member of your fur family to every Pet Party and fundraising event because they truly are your best sales person!"

    Tips for Purr-fect Pet Health

Leaving Valuables Around? Cat-astrophic No-No Cats tend to be curious, playful creatures so make "shure" you do not leave your valuables laying around the house where your kitty can knock them down, bat at them or swallow them (think pearl necklaces or jewelry). Please put away all of your breakable treasures that are potentially accessible to your cat. Remember that adult cats have the ability to jump onto high shelves and counters, so look around and remove all valuables that are important to you or could injure your feline.

Frostbite and snow removal salt: Snow and salt should be removed from your pets' paws immediately. Frostbitten skin usually appears red or gray. Apply warm, moist towels to thaw out frostbitten areas slowly until the skin appears flushed. Contact your veterinarian as soon as possible for further care. Additionally, snow removal products should be stored out of the reach of pets and small children as they may be toxic.

Why so Blue? Ferret Flu Did you know ferrets can actually catch a cold or the flu from their owners? The symptoms are similar to human sickness with sneezing and upper respiratory issues. Although these symptoms are usually resolved without medical treatment, infections in ferrets have the ability to become serious fairly quickly, especially if they become dehydrated. Care, love, rest, warmth, and plenty of fluids are essential during this time for your fuzzy ferret. If your ferret's health does not appear to be returning to normal after a few days, please consult your veterinarian.
