    Shure Pets Pet Gazette
    Volume III Edition II
    February 2005

Dear Pet Lover~ 2005 has truly started at a tremendous pace. We are proud to announce that in January 2005 Shure Pets signed up more new Pet Consultants than in the first three months of 2004. Not only are we up in recruitment numbers, but our January revenues are equal to that same entire first quarter of 2004. Thank you to all our Pet Counsultants who are working so very hard. Keep up the good work. Your efforts are truly making a difference.

To help keep your momentum going in the upcoming months, be sure to set goals for yourselves, even if they are small ones. You can set a goal for number of new contacts to make in a week, or number of Pet Parties to book, or even for a sales figure for the month. What ever your goal is, I encourage you to think it through, make sure it is attainable, and write it down in a place where you will see it often. Then, when you meet the goal, set a new one challenging yourself a little bit more. It will keep you motivated and excited about what you are doing.

We received a phenomenal response to our first month of Pet Consultant conference calls. We are motivated by your interest, excitement, and enthusiasm. We believe these conference calls help build the sense of community that Shure Pets has worked so hard to establish among Pet Consultants and the Corporate Office. Keep reading for the schedule of February's conference calls. Be sure to schedule your time. We look forward to talking with you, getting to know you, and learning about your business successes and challenges.

We take your recommendations and feedback seriously. It is critical to the success of Shure Pets and your personal businesses. To everyone hosting an open house during the Pet Consultants Across America Valentine's Weekend, we wish you the best and hope it is successful for everyone.

If you would like more in-fur-mation on Shure Pets, hosting or attending a fun Pet Party or purchasing Shure Pets Products, please contact us at info@shurepets.com or call toll free at 1-888- SHURE-PETS (1-888-748-7373).

Thank you from the bottom of our paws,

    Andrew Shure, Shure Pets, Founder

Shure Pets University Our Shure Pets University (SPU) training program meets once a month at the Corporate Office, in Chicago's Old Town neighborhood. At SPU, we discuss the Pet Consultant business opportunity, developing marketing and public relations plans, the Shure Pets product line, growing your Shure Pets business, and more. All Pet Consultants are invited and encouraged to attend SPU, as there is much that can be gained during this hands-on gathering. If you cannot make a Shure Pets University session but are in the Chicago area and would like to meet the Shure Pets team, please call to schedule an appointment. We enjoy meeting each and every one of our Pet Consultants, hearing your opinions and suggestions.

Please mark your calendars now for the next Shure Pets University Programs. The next SPUs will be held on Tuesday, March 1, Tuesday, April 5, Tuesday, May 3 and Tuesday, June 7. Shure Pets is located at 1556 N. LaSalle St., Chicago, IL. Following each two-hour training session is Shure Pets' monthly "Meet and Greet" event, which is open to prospective Pet Consultants. Featured Pet Consultant: Janet H. (#0139)

Janet H. (#0139 Macomb, IL) and her husband share their home with their two beloved Yellow Labs, Maggie and Magoo. In addition, they have two horses and five cows. Janet states, "I first learned about Shure Pets when I read an article in USA Weekend and I immediately started doing research through the Shure Pets website. It did not take me long to decide this would be a perfect fit for me given my love of animals. Although I work full time in an insurance agency, Shure Pets gives me the opportunity to work from home with flexible hours that fit my schedule."

"I am so impressed with the friendly, courteous people in the home office and the wonderful customer service I always receive. I have heard all positive comments from customers about the wonderful products and Maggie and Magoo give them a 4-Paw Rating."

Janet is glad that Shure Pets has given her the opportunity to help her local Humane Society with the Shure Pets fund-raising program. It allows her to meet many new pet lovers. Janet says, "Because of some of the new people I met, I was able to rescue two dogs from the animal shelter and keep them in a foster home until placing them in a new loving home. I talk to everyone about Shure Pets and hand out lots of catalogs!"

"I see Shure Pets constantly growing, improving, and coming up with new ideas to help the Pet Consultants be successful and I look forward to a long and prosperous relationship with them. Thank you Shure Pets!" We thank you Janet, for the fantastic job you have done helping needy animals and with your Shure Pets business!

Shure Pets Receives Barks of Approval

"I count becoming a [Shure Pets Pet Consultant] as one of the best decisions I made in 2004. Shure Pets is vastly different from other companies. For that I'm grateful....I just got my umbrella (#704) a week ago and I love it! It's not only cute, but it's huge and sturdy. A very good value for what it costs." Tracy W. (#0214 Fishers, IN).

"Woo Hoo, I got my New Puppy on the Block Kit and I just placed an order for additional goodies! Now I will be testing the Shure Pets products on my kiddies, Max, Cleo, and Liberty. I am sure they are going to be very happy!" Norma H. (#0346 Hallandale Beach, FL).

"The Tangle & Mat Combat (#115) and the Oatmeal Conditioning Spray (#117) are both EXCELLENT products. I use the Oatmeal Conditioning Spray on my Golden Retriever because she tends to have skin allergies and this really relieves her itching. Before I started using it, she would bite herself raw but now she gets immediate relief and quits chewing." Linda L. (#0145 Grottoes, VA).

"I LOVE Shure Pets!!! I am having so much fun with this. I LOVE getting recruits and new orders! Nina H. (#0309 Oak Ridge, NJ).

    Shure Pets Products For Pets

    Tips for Purr-fect Pet Health

Dogs/Cats What to do if your dirty dog or messy kitty doesn't like water and you are short on time? What product will leave Fido's coat clean, shiny and smelling grr- eat? Waterless foaming cleansers are perfect for quick-touch ups and on the spot cleanings, especially in states with cold winter temperatures that make outdoor bathing infrequent. As this Cat- egory continues to show growth and is often featured in pet magazines, Shure Pets is proud to offer its foaming cleanser in three scents, Orange Mango (#111), Vivid Vanilla (#122) and Mountain Fresh (#123). Foaming Cleansers are simple to use: Just put a golf ball sized amount in your palm and massage directly into your pet. Repeat as necessary and wipe down with a damp cloth if necessary.

In cold weather, the pads on the bottom of your pet's paws can suffer if not properly tended to. They may even appear to be slightly cracked. To resolve this problem, after each walk wash off your pet's feet. This will remove any ice on the pad and removes any road salt which could be causing the dryness. Additionally, trim the hair between your pet's toes as ice and snow often collect here.

Birds Observe your bird to make "shure" she is in good health. Does she seem comfortable? Is her weight fluctuating? Your pet bird's weight should be consistent and its eyes shiny and bright. Look for signs of irritation or swelling. The beak should be smooth and free of growths or any discharge. A bird's breathing should be barely noticeable. Finally, the feathers should appear crisp, sleek, and bright. If your bird shows signs of illness, contact your veterinarian immediately.

Rabbits Why spay or neuter your bunny? Altered rabbits are healthier and have longer life spans. They tend to be calmer, more loving, and dependable once the urge to mate has been removed. In addition, rabbits are less prone to destructive (chewing) and aggressive habits after surgery. Finally, altered rabbits won't contribute to the important problem of overpopulation.
