    Dear Pet Lover~

    Innovate

    • verb, introduce new methods, ideas, or products. -Oxford English Dictionary
At Shure Pets we are committed to innovation. We created the Cat-egory for pet products to be sold through at-home Pet Parties and one-on-one selling.

At Shure Pets we are committed to offering new “methods” of distribution.

Our initial product line had 27 items primarily focusing on Health and Beauty Aids; Today, our product line contains over 200 items which translates to over 8,000 stock keeping units. Our categories today comprise: Health and Beauty Aids, Gifts, Pet Apparel, Treats/Toys, Pet Beds, Activities, and Pet Lover Apparel. We have products available for dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, birds and horses.

At Shure Pets we are committed to offering the most unique, innovative “products” in the pet industry.

This month, after weeks of programming, we introduced Phase I of our backend software to our Pet Consultants. We are very excited to work with each of you as we introduce Phase II around March 1. The backend software will allow each of you to process your orders and Pet Party orders online and review your team sales. We believe that this tool will help each of you maintain and grow your business.

At Shure Pets we are committed to offering new “ideas” and continue to invest in the latest in technology.

Our business activity continues to be very strong. Sales for January 2006 were over 55% greater than January 2005 and the number of new Pet Consultants that signed up was over 60% greater than the same period.

We look forward to working with each one of you this year. Our only requirement is a passion for pets! Join the fun and be your own boss in an industry you love.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or comments regarding Shure Pets, our innovative business model or our unique product line.

    Shure Pets In The News

Ilene Pet Consultant of the Month: Ilene L. (#551)

Ilene L. (#551 Tampa, FL) is a Sales Analyst with a publicly-traded company and also runs her own promotions company on the side. Ilene states, "I have been an animal lover and vegetarian for as long as I can recall. I've also been active in raising money and awareness for animal protection organizations. I've always had pets (cat, dogs and birds) and they have been an integral part of my life. I consider my pets to be real family members; my pets truly are my kids. My oldest is Sampson Thomas (Sammy), a four-year-old Russian Blue feline; Brylene is a three- year-old Calico/Tortoise-shell feline; Lili is a three- year-old Black Miniature Schnauzer; and Ivie is a two- year-old white Miniature Schnauzer (who thinks she's a Standard Schnauzer, weighing in at nearly 23 pounds). Lili and Ivie both compete with me in local agility trials, and we find them a lot of fun and quite challenging."

"In June of 2005, I found Shure Pets purely by accident while looking online for a place that allows pets to have a birthday party for Lili and Ivie. I came across the Shure Pets website, and was sold immediately! When I saw what a great value it was to become a Pet Consultant, I decided immediately to sign up. I usually spent every weekend at pet stores, so I thought it would be nice to finally receive a discount on my purchases. So as soon as I received my starter kit, I decided to make the girls’ birthday party a Shure Pets Pet Party in my own home. I invited my friends, and once I saw what a great time they were all having I realized that I could actually do this as a business, sharing my love of pets with others who feel that animals are special, too."

"Since then, I've worked hard in building my business through working events every month to build my team and customer list, and doing parties. I feel blessed to have such a great team (11 recruits so far) and I take the responsibility of helping them succeed with Shure Pets seriously. One way I do that is by sharing leads from the events that I work. Pet Parties are truly fun for me as well, and they don't even seem like work. I can be quite shy, but every hostess has made me feel so welcome, and the guests at each party are eager to see what we have, so each experience has been a great one."

"I've invested quite a bit in making sure that I represent Shure Pets in a professional manner, including custom-made magnetic car signs, banners to display at events, and custom-made tee shirts. The payoff has been growing my team quickly and being interviewed and featured in local newspapers, including a full page article in the Tampa Tribune from an event I hosted on behalf of six local rescue groups."

"My advice to other Pet Consultants is to keep a positive attitude and do not “expect”. Be a vendor at an event or do a Pet Party, but don’t expect huge sales or to recruit dozens of people. When you don’t expect, you are never disappointed. Rather, you can enjoy the moment instead, and appreciate whatever comes out of it. I have done events where it seemed there was little interest and I sold nothing, only to receive a phone call days and even weeks later from someone placing a huge order, or from someone wanting to sign up as a consultant. I’ve done parties where the total sales didn’t reach $200, but subsequently received great leads generated from those parties. If you keep a positive attitude and just have fun, you never know where things will lead. Just make sure that if you do events, you hand out Cat-alogs; they are the most impactful tool that we have. I would also recommend getting on board with our new back-end software. The price is low and the rewards will be great – it is going to be an invaluable tool in our quest to succeed!"

    Shure Pets Barks of Approval

"I am so excited. The pink stroller (#817) came tonight after dark. Taffy was wagging her tail while I put the wheels on it. I took her for a ride around the house and she was loving it. I can't wait to actually take her out in it. Thanks so much for all of your help. I put my first Cat-alog party in tonight too. That is so much fun. I love this company. Thanks again for everything." Laurie N. (#874 Coconut Creek, FL).

"I want to first say that I am so impressed with Shure Pets so far. The manual is wonderful; the Shure Pet's Consultant Page is so informative and helpful; and the software is going to be great too. It's obvious that you really do everything you can to help the Pet Consultants in becoming successful. Not every company is like that, at least not to this extent." Suzanne W. (#880 Pittsburgh, PA).

"This evening I was at a function at my Church and two of the ladies had ordered [Shure Pets] beds from me. They were both talking about how great the beds were and how their individual dogs love them. One of the ladies was boasting about the Hurley (#504) she bought and how the dogs love them and couldn't chew through it. That felt really good. I was smiling from ear to ear." Gayellen D. (#816 Simi Valley, CA).

"You're going to love working for Shure Pets, I've been a Pet Consultant since September and am having the time of my life and meeting great people in the process...everyone in the Shure Pets family is very helpful." Pat F. (#739 Oak Ridge, NJ).

    Tips for Purr-fect Pet Health

Behold Mold: Leftover bread or cheeses that have gone bad are not good treats for your canine pal. Many moldy foods that have been previously refrigerated can cause seizures and muscle tremors if ingested by dogs. Additionally, moldy walnuts can be a source of the same toxin, Penitrem A, produced by a fungus and found in moldy dairy products. Remember, if it is not good enough for human consumption, then throw it away and avoid giving it to your canine.

Adopt-a-Cat: Cats and kittens that are adopted from shelters and rescue groups are more likely to have minor illnesses that can materialize into serious infections if untreated. Before you leave with your new feline, ask the shelter or rescue group for a written copy of their medical support policies. Is vet care provided, and for how long? If you have another animal in the house, it is a wise idea to keep them separated for a few days and introduce them to each other slowly, making it less likely that your resident pet will catch anything from your new pet. Remember never to give your cat any human medication unless directed to do so by your veterinarian (many common human medications like Aspirin are dangerous to cats).

Vet Select: For routine pet check-ups, please choose your veterinarian carefully and make "shure" he can fulfill your pet's needs. Good veterinarians take the needed time to advise, reassure and console you and your companion animal. They are available, can be reached by phone and are knowledgeable on the latest field developments. The veterinarian's work facilities should be clean, neat and well-equipped (ask them for a tour if you like). A good veterinarian can make a world of difference when it comes to your pet's health and happiness.
