Dear Pet Lover~
Spring is in the air! I would like to welcome to our Shure Pets family all the new Pet Consultants that signed up during March. We processed a record number of new applications last month. We are excited to work with, and get to know, each of you in the months and years to come.
Additionally, I am pleased to report that our sales for the month of March were over 110% greater than March 2005 and over 40% greater than February of this year.
We are in the process of completing our Summer 2006 Cat-alog with scheduled distribution for early May. The Cat-alog will include an even greater selection of products for your dogs, cats, rabbits, horses and birds.
We also plan on coordinating Phase III of the Shure Pets backend software with the introduction of the new Cat-alog. Please note that we plan on removing our shopping cart from our website (shurepets.com) and will have all orders routed directly through your individual replicated websites. We believe that this will bring a great deal of efficiency in processing orders and monitoring your team?s activity.
Finally, we believe that our commitment in providing you with the best innovativenew products and the latest in technology will aid each of you significantly and help you reach your goals.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or comments regarding Shure Pets, our innovative business model or our unique product line.

Pet Consultant of the Month: Sue C. (#793)
Sue C. (#793 Hamburg, NJ) and her husband are proud parents to four wonderful Rottweilers, (Hero, Bear, Tasha and Phoenix) and two kitties, (Flash and Blaze). All of the "fur-kids" are rescues. Sue states, "To us, they are our children and fill our lives with love and laughter."
Sue recalls, "I first heard about Shure Pets from my Mom who saw a newspaper article and thought it was a perfect fit. I thought it sounded like a wonderful idea and requested information right away. Shure Pets put me in touch with my upline, Nina H. (#309 Oak Ridge, NJ). I knew the moment I heard her talk about the opportunities with Shure Pets that this was for me. Nina was very generous with her time in meeting with me and answering my endless questions!"
"I am thrilled to be involved in the early stages of Shure Pets, as I am "shure" we will grow to amazing heights in the years to come. Shure Pets is amazingly supportive of their Pet Consultants in every aspect of the business. How great is it when you call the company and the founder himself not only answers the phone, but takes time to chat with you?!? The products that Shure Pets offer are great and the product line just continues to grow. I look forward to every milestone I plan to reach with Shure Pets and every second of fun along the way."
"I have gained so much from being a Pet Consultant. With the freedom of being an Independent Pet Consultant also comes a huge responsibility: you are in charge of you. I truly believe you will get two fold what you put into this business. People always say, 'I am not good at selling', well, with Shure Pets you don't need to sell the products. If you truly love and believe in what you are selling, that shines through when you speak about your business and other people respond to that. I am so thrilled at the rate that my business is growing. People love their pets and I love helping them find just the right products for them."
"I am lucky enough to be a part of a great Shure Pets team, Pick of the Litter. I have also been blessed with making some great friends. The constant support and encouragement from my uplines and other Pet Consultants is amazing. If I have a question they have the answer and they are always the first to recognize every accomplishment I have made, no matter how small. Shure Pets has truly changed my life for the better."
"Personal success with Shure Pets is easy; tell everyone you know and everyone that will listen about our great company. I assure you that you will find at least one "animal lover" in every crowd...a person that's ready to "party with their pets"! Another very important key to being successful is customer service and satisfaction. Following up with your customers and making them feel special is priceless. A customer will always come back to order from someone who gave them individual attention. Be knowledgeable of the products and take the time to listen to what the customer wants. Being a Shure Pets consultant truly allows you to LOVE what you do!"

Shure Pets Barks of Approval
"My dog was diagnosed with Cushing's Disease and has to take 500 mg of Lysodren two times a week. Hiding the pill in cheese does not work, if I put it in her food, she eats around it. I decided to try the Pill Poppers (#226). I just place the pill in the soft center and she eats it all in one bite. It hasn't failed yet. She doesn't even know she just had her pill. These things are great. Four paws up!" Patti S. (#472 Plaistow, NJ).
"I used a product last night for the first time and wanted to share the experience - Dazzling Dark Shampoo (#136). One of my Rotties, Mr. Bear, has epilepsy and he has been having a bad patch the last two weeks with a lot of seizures...needless to say when he is seizing he pees on himself without knowing it; he really needed a bath. So, after our vet visit and acupuncture he got a nice warm bath with his new Shure Pets shampoo. I LOVE it - he smells great and his coat is shiny, shiny, shiny! Bear has now gone from Mr. Handsome Bear to Mr. Shiny Handsome Bear!! Try it, you'll love it." Sue C. (#793 Hamburg, NJ).
"I attended last year's [Shure Pets] Jam-fur-ee and I want to tell you it was 110% worth it. It is grrr-eat to have a personal connection to Andrew, David and Kristina. We were able to ask any and all questions and they went out of their way to make us all feel equally important. It was paw-some to visit The Pound and have a no shipping shopping spree! And meet Caillou, too! What a cutie!! I really enjoyed getting a sneak peak at the new Fall items, too. It was especially nice to meet so many of the people we visit with each day on the Shure Pets post. Sharing ideas in this new field is very valuable and we certainly did a lot of that. It is an investment well worth it if you can swing it. I hope EVERYONE will make it... I wouldn't miss it!" Bonnie D. (#508 Gladstone, OR).
"I want to thank The Pound for creating such a wonderful product: Paramount Itty Bitty Puppy Kitty Shampoo (#121)!!! With the addition of two new Mini Aussie puppies to the family and a backyard that is still under construction, they like to go out and roll in the dirt. This product is so gentle I have been able to use it once a week to give them their baths. They smell so good and their coats are extremely soft and shiny!! Thank you and keep up the great work!! Deanna M. (#486 Goodyear, AZ).
"I just wanted to thank you so much for your prompt handling of sending out [my order] to me. I really appreciate the time and effort you took so I would have it available for the members of the rescue this Sunday." JoAnne D. (#191 Tinley Park, IL).

Purr-fect Pet Health Tips
Horse Power: Be very careful where you tie up your horse, even if it is for a quick second. Strong, powerful horses that are tied to older or smaller fences can pull back and break part of the fence off, causing them to run wildly as they drag it along behind them. Always tie your horse to something that is safe and secure, and keep a close eye on your horse companion.
Working Like a Dog: If you and your dog are the energetic, outdoor types, you may consider training with your canine pal to become a search and rescue dog. Both you and your dog should be physically fit and suited towards spending a great deal of time in the outdoor elements. Dogs who are best suited for search and rescue enjoy being outside, have good physical endurance, and are fairly trainable. You'll be volunteering your time in a worthwhile field to help find missing individuals. It is a challenging and rewarding role for both you and your canine to share.
Here Kitty Kitty: Unlike kids and canines, felines are less likely to come to you just because you want them to obey. However, a cat who knows he will be rewarded (via warm pets, brushes or treats etc.) is likely to get up, stretch, look casually around, and then wander over to you (displaying the attitude that it was his idea in the first place). No animal will come to you willingly if you are raising your voice or if they think they are going to be punished. Additionally, cats tend to respond fondly to names that end in an "ee" sound. You will most likely get a better response if you shorten names to Zaddy, Kenny etc. Finally, they seem to respond better to a higher-pitched tone of voice.

Bone-us Trivia
What is the name of the dog on TV's Grey's Anatomy?
Be the first to email info@shurepets.com with the correct answer and the winner will receive FREE Shure Pets Products! The correct answer to this issue's Bone-us Trivia will be printed in next month's Pet Gazette.
The March trivia question was: What are the names of the two cats in the Animated 1955 Walt Disney film, Lady and the Tramp? Although we had many responses, Cheryl A.
