    Shure Pets achieved record levels in May of 2005! Sales were greater than three times the level of May 2004, and 20% larger than our previous record month. Additionally, our Pet Consultant base continues to grow. Just over one year ago we had less than 100 Pet Consultants on our team; today we are quickly approaching our 600th Pet Consultant. The state of California has the greatest number of Pet Consultants followed by Illinois, Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania and New York.

    The Pet Industry is an explosive, growing Industry. We believe that the party platform is an excellent way to explain and educate consumers on the merits of various pet products and of the Shure Pets product line in particular. We are always looking for knowledgeable passionate pet lovers to join our winning team.

    I would like to acknowledge the wonder-fur leadership of Sandy T. (#0148 Seabrook, NH), Nina H. (#0309 Oak Ridge, NJ) and Greg and Kathy K. (#0291 Wilmington, DE) for developing teams that exceed 20 Pet Consultants each. Currently, greater than 13% of our Pet Consultants have created teams. I encourage those that are looking to develop a career with Shure Pets to participate in our Fast-Start program.

    Our summer 2005 Cat-alog continues to be warmly received by both our Pet Consultants and customers. We increased our product line by more than 50%. Our objective is ship all orders within 24 to 72 hours. We have incurred production delays with some of our new items and have addressed these issues and are pleased to report that all orders in house will be shipped by the end of this week.

    Finally, Customer Service is extremely important to us. I would like to introduce our new program, "Shure Pets Concierge". The program is designed to ensure that you and your customer's expectations are met and exceeded. We are available to help identify products, discuss the merits of products, help with order placement, discuss the business opportunity or to visit with you about your pets.     Bark Park 11 Shure Pets Events

    On Wednesday, May, 11 Shure Pets was featured on the CBS Early Show. Pet Consultants Nina H. (#0309 Oak Ridge, NJ) and Gabriella C. (#0370 Stanhope, NJ) were shown leading a fun, colorful at- home Pet Party. The piece allowed for an inside look into one of our signature "Pet Parties" and the fun, relaxed ambiance associated with these get togethers. Grr-eat job Nina and Gabriella!

    Additionally, Shure Pets was featured in a number of media outlets in May including: USA Today, The Denver Post, Animal World, The Colorado Gazette, Orange County Register, The San Francisco Chronicle, Newsday, and Essentials Magazine (Iowa).

    Essentials Magazine (Iowa) stated, "For all those Paris Hilton-esque pet lovers out there, Shure Pets offers useful and unique products for your furry friends. The biggest home seller of pet products, Shure Pets, says customers today want to see, touch and test products before buying. These hot parties are putting the "direct" back into in-home sales."

    On Saturday, May 7th, 2005, Shure Pets proudly participated in the 11th annual Anti-Cruelty Society's Bark in the Park in Chicago, Illinois. The event was a 3.2 mile (5K) walk for dogs benefiting the Anti-Cruelty Society. Shure Pets kicked off their "Shure Pets Cares" Campaign at the event with a $350.00 donation. The picture above features "The Pound" in action at the event.

    Shure Pets University (SPU): Our Shure Pets University training and educational program meets monthly at the Corporate Office in Chicago. This seminar serves as a platform to discuss Shure Pets and trends in the Direct Selling and Pet Industries, as well as offering tips to help you grow, develop and maintain your business. All Pet Consultants are invited and encouraged to attend SPU.     Shure Pets Barks of Approval

    "I have three Golden Retrievers. Nicki, my nine year old female, was licking a doozy of a hot spot on her hip last week. I tried every topical treatment I could think of and she continued licking. I was at the point of putting an e-collar on her, but hated to do that when it's so hot out. So I bathed her in the Paramount Medicated Shampoo (#101) last Thursday, and I swear to you, she has not licked it since! I was THRILLED. Additionally, one of my pet sitting clients is a 15-year old shepherd mix named CS. He's deaf and sweet as can be. I just adore this old fellow. They really give off a great scent and last. Oh Yeah!!!!! If you guys have not used the Stain and Odor Cleaner (#110) yet, I truly recommend you try it! It really works well, and smells good.     Tips for Purr-fect Pet Health

    Injured Pets: Your pet can have an allergic reaction to the same conditions that make humans sneeze (i.e. mold, pollen and dust). Animals' skin may become itchy when they inhale these materials, and this may result in persistent scratching and biting of the skin. Sores can develop and become secondary infections if not properly treated. If your pet has already scratched himself resulting in a sore or wound, cover it up and speed up the healing process with Boo Boo Bandage (#128).

    Horse Care: With summer upon us, it is important to make "shure" that your horse does not overheat during exercise. Regular exercise throughout the spring, into the summer, should acclimate your horse to the heat. You can also take his temperature during exercise to know if he is being placed under too much heat stress (compare it to his normal temperature). If the horse appears distressed, tired, or unwilling to continue exercise in the heat, lead him to the shade and cool him off. Additionally, you can use Liquid Silk Horse Shampoo (#130) and Liquid Silk Horse Coat Dressing (#131) during the bath to make him clean, shiny and happy.

    Kids and Pets: Thinking about adopting a new pet? When bringing home a new animal, give him time to adjust to his new surroundings. Do not have a big crowd of noisy, exciting people meet your new pet at the front door upon arrival; this will make his first experience at home a scary one. Give him some time alone in his home and let him explore. Explain to your children that the pet will be nervous, and keep the kids from playing with him until he feels comfortable.     1st Annual Jam-fur-ee Pet Consultant Conference

    Shure Pets is planning its first annual Pet Consultant Conference (Jam-fur-ee) for the weekend of September 24 & 25, 2005. The Conference will be held in Chicago, IL. All Pet Consultants are invited and encouraged to attend. The casual conference will be an exciting event packed with activities, entertainment, speakers, classes and awards acknowledging success Pet Consultants. At the conference, we will discuss all areas of your Shure Pets business including products, marketing and recruiting. We will recognize and celebrate our Pet Consultants' accomplishments as well as discuss the future direction of the company.

We are currently looking into Chicago area Pet Friendly hotels, conference areas and fun, unique Chicago activities and restaurants for our Pet Consultants to enjoy during their stay.
