    Dear Pet Lover~

    It was a real pleasure meeting all the Pet Consultants that joined us in Chicago for our first annual Jam-fur- ee. The Jam-fur-ee event provided a platform for us to reflect on the past and to discuss the future plans of Shure Pets. As the innovator and the nation's leading provider of pet products through the direct selling and home party plan segment, we are excited to present our new product line to you today. We have added products in all categories (health & beauty aids, gifts, pet apparel, treats/toys, activities and pet lover apparel). The new product line and items have been added to our website (shurepets.com) and are officially available as of today.

    We are extremely pleased with the enhanced product line and the reaction the new products received from those that attended the Jam-fur-ee. We increased the line by more than 20% to around 200 items for your pet and for the pet lover.

    Our business actively continued to reach new records in September. Our sales were 120% greater than the same period in 2004 and the number of people that signed up to become a Pet Consultant almost doubled versus the same period last year.

    I encourage each of you to participate in our business model by becoming a Pet Consultant or hosting a Pet Party. The pet industry is a hot growth category. Do what you can to take advantage of the growth of this industry. We are enthusiastic with our products and encourage each of you to participate-- Our only requirement is a passion for pets.

    Shure Pets University (SPU): Our Shure Pets University training and educational program meets monthly at the Corporate Office in Chicago, Illinois. This seminar serves as a platform to discuss Shure Pets and trends in the Direct Selling and Pet Industries, as well as offering tips to help you grow, develop and maintain your business. All Pet Consultants are invited and encouraged to attend SPU. If you cannot make a Shure Pets University session but are in the Chicago area and would like to meet "The Pound", please call or email info@shurepets.com to schedule an appointment. We enjoy meeting our Pet Consultants and hearing your stories and suggestions.

    Debbie Pet Consultant of the Month: Debbie L. (#0406)

    Debbie (#0406 Northampton, PA) and her husband, Kevin, got married last year in Hawaii on Labor Day. She has three children and one granddaughter. Additionally, Debbie looks after seven rescued cats. She states, "I rescued Tiffany and Samantha from the Northampton SPCA. Tiffany is all white and deaf but she doesn't know it. Samantha is a small Calico and was very scared when I first got her, but now is a real love. Then we got Molly (my "Southern Belle") a black and white long hair who my sister-in-law rescued. About a year after that I got Max (a black & white semi-longhair). Next came Minx (a grey stripped cat). This past December I rescued a Calico kitten named Chloe. Then in February, I rescued an orange striped Tabby named Buddy. Now I said 'no more' after three, then 'no more' after five and now I am really saying 'NO MORE' after seven. I also love dogs and in the past have proudly owned Conchita (who I would dress up in doll clothes), Sandy (Terrier), Heidi (Saint Bernard), Spotty (Dalmatian), Rusty (Irish Setter) and Bufton O'Reilly (Cocker Spaniel). As you can see, I have always loved animals and have had a variety of breeds."

    "I found Shure Pets on the Internet. I was looking for something different that no one else was doing. A company that I could get in on the ground floor and really make it grow! When I saw 'Pet Parties' I thought, what a great idea! I love pets (everyone loves pets) and thought, this would be something I would love to do. I started in May and have done quite a few events including, an article with The Morning Call and a cable news segment with RCN TV. I love conducting the Shure Pets Home Parties. They are a lot of fun and don't even feel like real work to me. It is just a fun time! It's more like visiting friends and partying!!! I am very pleased with the success I have had so far; I have four recruits to date and hope to add more! I think the company is great and everyone at 'The Pound' is very helpful and nice."

    "My tips for success: Talk to everyone. Whether it is at your dentist, the grocery store, or anywhere you go. Devote at least one to two hours a day to your Shure Pets business. Get on the phone and call any leads you have. Be friendly and talk, talk, talk. Finally, it is very helpful having a spouse who is so supportive. Kevin doesn't mind how many hours I devote to Shure Pets; He is behind me 100%. I am looking forward to keeping Shure Pets a part of my life in the coming years!"

    Bonnie Pet Consultant Business

    Featured in the picture to the right is Pet Consultant Bonnie D. (#0508 Gladstone, OR) from a recent Shure Pets event in Oregon titled "Dog Daze at the Swim Park". The local Swim Park opened up the pool to canine friends for a swim party (after the event, the pool closed for its annual maintenance). About 450 dogs participated in the event. Pet Consultants, participating in expos, fairs, events and fundraisers is an excellent way to increase your target customer base and spread the word about your Shure Pets business. You are "shure" to meet new customers and potential recruits through these venues.

    Four Paws Up to the Pedigree Interiors (United Coalition for Animals) who received $140.75 this month through their Shure Pets fundraising efforts. Other groups who earned money in September through the Shure Pets fundraising program included: 3 Bunny Rabbit Inc., Indiana Proactive Animal Welfare Inc., Brockport Track Booster Club, Pet Search, BCA Rescue Network, Inc., Central Ohio Scottie Rescue, Ohio Pug Rescue, Indiana Petite Paws Rescue Angels, Delaware Humane Association and The Golden Retriever Rescue of Atlanta.

    Additionally, Shure Pets, its customers and Pet Consultants proudly raised over $313.00 through our Shure Pets Cares Program in September. This money was donated to the ASPCA to help animals affected by Hurricane Katrina. Thank you for your contributions.

    Bark, Meow, Neigh, Chirp and applaud for Linda M. (#0756 Tinley Park, IL) for recently reaching the $2,000 bone-us level. Additionally, please cheer for Lea K. (#0436 Vacaville, CA) and Ilene L. (#0551 Tampa, FL) for achieving the $4,500 bone-us level. The Shure Pets Bone-us sales points program works as follows: For every dollar of Shure Pets products sold, you receive the equivalent of one Bone-us dollar. For every one person directly recruited to your Shure Pets business, you receive the equivalent of $200 Bone-us points. Depending on the Bone-us level reached, Pet Consultants earn a variety of Shure Pets rewards from business supplies and Cat-alogs to products and trips.

    Congratulations to Valerie T. (#0292 Kingston, IL) for recently achieving higher Breed Level Status. Valerie has earned the "Junior Pack Leader" title. The Shure Pets Team is proud of Valerie's hard work and accomplishments and we look forward to continuing to help her achieve her purr-sonal and purr-fesional goals.

    Shure Pets' average order during September increased to $111.08 The average sales generated at a Pet Party also grew to $413.05 Additionally, the average fundraising order size in September was $305.08

    Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania led the way with the greatest number of Pet Parties in September. New Hampshire, Indiana and Wisconsin held the next greatest number of Pet Parties during the month.

    “Before I learned about Shure Pets and signed up, my Pug, Calvin, would go outside in the back yard, sit in the sunshine for a short while, and come in stinking to high heaven. I even called him 'Stinky Man'. That was his nickname. I tried everything I could find to take care of it short of giving him a daily bath. Products from Wal-mart worked for a NY minute-- back to stinking. I even rubbed a dryer sheet all over him and he smelled like clean laundry until he went back outside.     Tips for Purr-fect Pet Health

    Fresh Fuzzies: Providing for your beloved ferret can be a rewarding experience. It has been suggested that ferret owners make “shure” to bathe their furry friends once a month. Bathing them any more frequently may dry out their skin and the coat. Although you might be tempted to bathe them more to minimize their rustic odor, this smell is natural and will only fade temporarily.     Best In Show Pet Consultant Jam-fur-ee Conference

    Shure Pets held its first annual Pet Consultant Conference, The Jam-fur-ee, during the weekend of September 23 - 25 in Chicago, IL. The fun-filled, conference began with an evening full of dining, conversations and competitive games at the ESPN Zone. Saturday's activities took place at the East Bank Club of Chicago as Pet Consultants discussed their recent experiences and growth, while the Shure Pets Pound talked about the new product line and the importance of customer service. Our awards ceremony featured Pet Consultants Sandy T. (#0148, Seabrook, NH), Nina H. (#0309 Oak Ridge, NJ) and Gale W. (#0312 Cincinnati, OH). Sandy won both the Ulti-mutt Sales and the Dream Team Awards, Nina won the Leader of the Pack Award and Gale won the Purr-fect Attitude Award.

    Following the Awards Ceremony, all Pet Consultants went back to the Shure Pets office to purchase products and meet Caillou. Finally, dinner was held at Ed Debevic's restaurant for some 50's style entertainment and eating. The Jam-fur-ee was a wonder-fur event and we look forward to seeing everyone at next year's Conference.
