Dear
Pet Lover,
Happy New Year!
Shure Pets is excited about beginning its
first full year in business and we've set a number of goals for
ourselves here at the corporate office. We recommend that
you do the same, especially if you're already one of our Pet Consultants,
or are considering becoming one.Here
are some criteria you can use to help you set effective, attainable
goals:
1) use the present tense; 2) focus on outcome, not performance (Ex:
I will sell enough product to cover my monthly car payments. Not,
I will sell $500 worth of products at every
Pet Party.); 3) make your goals challenging; and 4) make
your goals
SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Time Framed).
And, most importantly, don't forget to have fun!
Also,
be sure to visit our website for new enhancements, including online
ordering. With your Pet Consultant's 4-digit ID

number
in hand, customers across the country can now place their orders
at their convenience. We look forward to an exciting 2004 with additions
to our product line planned for the spring and, more immediately,
Pet Dental Month in February. During that month, we're offering
a special promotion for orders over $50: a complimentary tube of
Shure Pets' Brilliance toothpaste. Your pet's dental health
is as important as your own. As always, please let us know if you
have any questions or comments. We look forward to and count on
your feedback.
~Thank you from

Shure
Pets appeared in the December/January Holiday 2003 issue of Chicagoland
Tails Magazine. This Chicago-based paper for passionate pet lovers
celebrates pets and their owners. Featured in the Gift- guide section
of the magazine is the Shure Pets First- Aid Kit. Words of praise
include, "Your pet will thank you for it, and you'll feel safer
knowing you're prepared
to deal with accidents."
From the Northwest
Indiana Times Newspaper, Molly Woulfe,Times Feature Writer, included
Shure Pets in her story on pet gifts. The story articulated that
there are many choices (more than just bones) available today
for pet gifts. She went on to mention Shure Pets saying, "You
don't have a pet, but know plenty of animal lovers? Owner-friendly
gifts are always welcome. An ultra-practical item is the Pet First
Aid Kit. Sold by Chicago-based Shure Pets, the kit includes animal-safe
ointments, eyewash, gauze and (gulp!) a rectal thermometer and
petroleum jelly... Would-be Dr. Doolittles can call (888) 748-7373
or visit www.shurepets.com."
As the new
year begins, we have put gaining additional national media coverage
and exposure in pet focused magazines, television programs, and
business materials at the top of our priority list. Read
the Shure Pets Pet Gazette each month to see where we make our
next appearance...possibly in a local paper near you!

Becca
Dunn, (picture) began her Shure Pets business in mid-August 2003,
and has thrown several successful Pet Parties since that time. She
yappily gets our bark of approval!
Becca was
born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
She is employed full-time at an oil company that owns convenient stores.
Becca and her fiancée are getting married on January 30th,
2004 on stage before one of
his rock concerts. They are very excited! She has one daughter, Chloe,
who is 5-years-old, and a baby on the way! She has a variety of pets
including two black lab mixes (Taylor and Gibson) that were saved
from the humane society. She also has two cats named Callie
and Ashley, and six fish. Becca and her family spend the summers lounging
by their swimming pool. Occasionally, the girls (their dogs) even
take a dip themselves! Becca loves to walk the dogs, play with the
cats, golf, swim,
play pool and sing. Becca explains, "My fiancée, Tracy,
shares the love I have for animals and children. He used to show old
English Mastiffs and owned three of them when he was younger! Oh!
You guessed it, not a day goes by without the mention of getting another
one." Back

a winning team here in Michigan. Thanks again for your help."

"The shampoo
worked really well and same with the conditioner. My dog Otis' [see

coat looks really good and he smells good too! I will use these
again and will purchase more when
I run out! The Brilliance Toothpaste is great-- it has a nice minty
scent (just like humans) and Otis seemed to love it too! All in
all, I'm happy with my Shure Pets Products!" -Claudia B. Shure
Pets Customer.

"Thank you for your help and answering my questions. I really
like a company that is able to do that.
I hate it when I find a company where you send in your question
and they tell you to
go read it somewhere or give you an answer that makes things more
complex." -Debbie C., Shure Pets Customer.

It
takes two in every relationship, including the relationship you share
with your pet! In return for the love that our pets continually show
us, routine grooming can be a healthy and necessary show of affection
for them! Don't forget that grooming has become easier and more advanced
due to recent product improvements. As a result, it is important that
you make changes
in the way you groom your pet. To be specific, less than eight weeks
should pass between dog baths. Recommended bathing time is every
other week. However, how often you should brush, bathe and groom your
dog depends on its breed and the thickness of its coat. Furthermore,
longer hair calls for more frequent visits with the brush (or comb).
So, if you want your relationship between you and your dog to really
sparkle, then just remember those three little words: brush, bathe
and grrrr-oom!
Hair, there,
everywhere! Brush your kitty's hair everyday to purr-vent hairballs!
To help hairballs flow through the digestive tract more easily,
put a hairball lubricant on your cat's paws, which will then be
licked off! Another idea to treat the hairballs is to periodically
feed your kitty approximately a quarter teaspoon of butter, which
offers the same benefits as hairball lubricants.
Hop-fully your
bunny eats well! When feeding your bunny vegetables, start off with
a small amount of one specific vegetable for it to eat at a time.
If any diarrhea develops, that specific vegetable should
be removed from the bunny's diet. Vegetables to avoid (containing
toxins) include: kidney beans, soy beans and rhubarb leaves.
Want
an inexpensive toy for your hamster? Use an egg carton! By putting
a hole in one end and placing treats inside, your hamster will have
fun biting and climbing through the carton to capture the treats.
Not only is it challenging, but it also keeps hamster teeth healthy!
