Dear Pet Lover~
I am very pleased to announce the exciting, fast-paced tempo currently
associated with Shure Pets. Growth in both sales and recruits reached
an all time high for the past few months. Our Pet Consultants continue
to inform us of the fun times and new friends they are discovering
through their Pet Parties. New, evolved downlines and teams are
beginning to form through the organizational structure as strangers
become friends, friends become customers and customers become Pet
Consultants.
The enthusiasm
is also contagious in the Corporate Office, as paws-itive changes
are occurring daily with the advice and comments supplied by our
Pet Consultants. We recently amended fundraising opportunities,
our host/hostess Party Plan systems and our incentive program to
better reflect what our Pet Consultants desire. We are currently
working on individual web pages
for our Pet Consultants that can be purr-sonalized to meet their
needs and will increase traffic and sales geared through their websites.
In addition, work has commenced on our new Cat-alog to effectively
display our Shure Pets product line.
As Shure Pets
grows daily, we continuously review and revise many of the materials
and processes our Pet Consultants use to do business. In the upcoming
months, look for information on easier and more efficient ordering
methods, new products and a new Cat-alog. Keep your tails wagging
and sending us your input. We depend on your feedback!
Thank you from
the bottom of our paws.
Sincerely, Andrew Shure, founder

Featured Pet Consultant: Adrienne Vivar
 |
| |
Adrienne
Vivar (#0052) from Sapulpa, Oklahoma began
her Shure Pets business in late February of this year. Adrienne has
grown her pet business quickly and has already recruited a Consultant
to her team from nearby Tulsa. She discovered Shure Pets while searching
the internet for work-at-home mom affiliated sites. Her strong business
skills combined with her true love and passion for animals have helped
her get off on the right paw. She states “I have always loved working
with animals. In high school, I worked at a veterinary clinic and
then I was a dog bather at a groomer’s, which I loved. Since a child,
I have always wanted to have my own business.” When asked about her
future with Shure Pets, Adrienne says “I think this is an excellent
opportunity to start my own business. I want to work very hard to
develop a strong customer base. I’m hoping to be very successful.”
Adrienne has been happily married for almost seven years and has two
boys. “We all love being outdoors. Hopefully, when my boys are older,
I will be able to return to volunteering with Animal Aid.” Adrienne
is also the proud owner of Cleo (Jack Russell Terrier - see picture
above), Joey (Terrier Mix) and Roxie (white cat). Keep up the howling
good work Adrienne!!!

Shure Pets Receives Barks of Approval
 |
| |
"The Paramount Stain and Odor Control (Citrus-Scented) is my favorite. I’ve used this to clean the bird cage, and I think it’s great for my chinchilla cage. Just a few sprays and that’s it. I wipe it off and no smell…I highly recommend this product. I feel confident that our home has improved since we started using the citrus cleaner. We can’t do without it.” – Debbie C., Pet Consultant, Seaside, CA.
"My Pet Party had 5 dogs in attendance with their owners and it was quite amusing to watch the dynamics between these furry friends (and the people too). The hostess and her guests had a lot of laughs. Additionally, I purchased the Shure Pets umbrella with my dog's picture and it is totally awesome. It rains a lot in Richmond, Virginia, this time of year so I get to show it off and it makes for a great display at the party.” –Michele C., Pet Consultant, Richmond, VA.
"I just completed my first show. It was a great success. The women loved the product and had fun with the merchandise.” –Jean H., Pet Consultant, Clementon, NJ.
"I have been trying out the products in my New Puppy on the Block Kit and love them. All four of my dogs got a bath with the Vanilla Aromutt Therapy Shampoo. That stuff is great! They also loved the dog biscuits! I am so excited about this venture.” –Linda C., Pet Consultant, Walkerton, IN.

Shure Pets Products of the Month

Purrfect Pet Towel (#410)
|
| |
The Purrfect Pet Towel functions dually as a cooling and drying towel. The highly absorbent towel will dry your pet completely in just minutes. This Purrfect Pet Towel contains dimples on one side for cooling while it is smooth on the reverse side for increased absorption. This product is a hydrophilic, microporous, reinforced, hi-tech, polymer sponge towel. The purrfect pet towel is 27” by 17” (3 sq. feet).
Q: How do I keep my pet cool?
A: To help avoid heat stroke, provide your pet with shaded locales and plenty of fresh water (check his/her water bowl several times a day to be sure it is full). Make sure your pet does not overexert himself. Watch for irregular breathing. If your pet appears to be hot, place the purrfect pet towel over him and it will begin to cool him off.

Furry Angel Memorial Candle (#706)
|
| |
Honor your lost pet with this purple angel memorial candle. Included on the candle is written Isla Paschal Richardson’s message “…Grieve not, nor speak of me with tears, but laugh and talk of me as if I were beside you…I loved you so ‘twas Heaven here with you.” Blank card also included. Burns for up to three days.
Q: What are some activities that help humans deal with pet loss?
A: An effective way to begin the healing process is to speak about your lost pet and your feelings of grief to a trusted family member or friend. Ignoring and shutting out the painful feelings has a tendency to only make them last longer. By talking to someone compassionate and trustworthy, you will be able to accept the loss and return to a normal lifestyle quicker. In addition, many people today find that honoring their pet's life through a ceremony helps them to adjust to life without them. These activities help to fill the emptiness and give the bereaved an opportunity to express their deep feelings of affection and sadness. It may be as simple as writing a small poem in memory of your pet or assembling a special book of pictures.

Tips for Purr-fect Pet Health
 |
| |
As Summer approaches, there are several steps that you can take to make “shure” your pets are purr-fectly safe, healthy, and happy during the summer months. Following these steps can ensure your pet will be wagging its tail all the way through Labor Day.
|
| |
- Check your pet's water bowl often.
All pets need a steady supply of fresh water. This is especially true in the summer heat. Make sure your pet's water bowl is always full. If your pet’s bowl is outside, make sure it is safely secured so it doesn’t get tipped over and is in the shade.
- Never leave your pet in a locked car.
Even with the windows down, it only takes a few minutes for the temperatures to rise in a vehicle in excess of 150 degrees, which can cause stroke, brain damage, even death.
- See that all windows have secure screens.
Every summer, house cats are seriously injured falling from upper-level windows.
- Learn which common plants are poisonous to pets.
Many lovely garden plants -- including avocados, daffodils and marigolds -- can be toxic if your dog or cat eats them. Ask your vet for a list of plants to beware of.
- Pets can get sunburned.
Make “shure” pets have plenty of shade. Apply a mix of equal parts of SPF 15 sun block and petroleum jelly to pets with pink noses before they go outside. Also, dog’s pads can burn easily, so avoid hot surfaces like blacktop during the day.
- Avoid exercise at certain times of the day!
To avoid overheating, exercise your pets either early in the morning or late in the afternoon. Avoid exercising your pets between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. because this is the hottest time of the day.
- Heatstroke is serious.
Watch for signs of heatstroke such as excessive panting, red gums, dry to the touch gums, or disorientation. If you suspect heatstroke, take your pet to the veterinarian immediately. To cool down a pet that is overheating, apply cool water (not ice cold, which can cause shock) to their coat and pads and take them to the vet immediately.
- Be prepared!
Even though we try to keep your homes and yards safe for our pets, accidents do happen. That's why you should ask your veterinarian for an emergency number you can call should your pet require medical care when the office is closed.
